In a mixture of bright sunny intervals and sudden hailstone downpours, a diverse mixture of Roma gypsies, Irish travellers, sympathetic anti-racists and internationalist fellow-travellers marked International Roma Day - the 8th of April - with a dignified demonstration over Lambeth Bridge - where flowers were thrown into the River Thames to commemorate the Roma and traveller victims of racist, nationalist, xenophobic hate crimes.
