Been a busy old month at the Occupied Grand Banks. The following is happening over the next few days. Well worth a visit. And damn fine ( ethical ) coffee.

Thursday 8th April

7.30pm - Discussion evening with Greg Palast (  http://www.gregpalast.com/ )author of
"The Best democracy Money can Buy" and the journalist who broke the story about the George W. Bush election scam.

Friday 9th April

7:30 Anti Copyright cinema. A mix of the odd UK mainstream premiere (!) and new features from the radical alternative. This Friday. Durban poison??

Cheeky productions present 'Green Gold' in collabaration with rising Tide and and Groundwork South Africa.
A film following campaigning residents of Durban as they fight to close a murderous toxic dump on their doorstep. The film rebveals the connection between this struggle, the World bank, and The World summit on sustainable Development.

7pm - Installation: Refugee camps in Nablus
Films and photography from the Palestinian refugee camps in Nablus.

Thursday 15th April
7.30pm - Quiz Night
so you think you’re know what’s what when it comes to entertainment, popular culture, history & politics? Who’s kylie? What’s kropotkin? Where’s the hell’s the projector gone? Social centre quiz night invites you to test your knowledge & skill with other clever dick know-it-alls. Cash prizes to be won. £1 individual entrance (suggested donation), £5 group (suggested donation). Zapatista coffee served. Food. All welcome. Come & ‘ave a go if you think you’re smart enough.

Saturday 17th April
8pm til late - A benefit night for the new Media HackLab. Featuring delicious food, film show & chilled beats. Donation at door. ( http://www.enrager.net/hosted/freedom/bookshop.htm)

Plus all the usual meetings, open for lunches weekdays, and all the other shenigans plus more probably.
