Convention to launch an electoral alternative to Labour

Respect is a new political organisation that was unofficially
launched in South Wales at a huge puplic meeting in Cardiff in
January that was addressed by George Galloway (Respect MP) and John
Rees, one of the founders of the Stop the War Coalition it aims to
fill the political vacuum and the need for a party that is
unequivocally anti-war, anti-imperialist, anti-racist and for the
empowering of ordinary people in society.
