Rob, who fell from one of the walkways at Sherwood Green protest site a few weeks ago, sends out thanks to all who supported him.

Rob fell about thirty five feet on an icy cold night and was originally believed to have damaged his kidneys by doctors a few weeks ago. Thankfully, after around a week in hospital, this turned out not to be the case but his arm was badly broken and dislocated. His arm is still in a sling but he's a feeling a lot better now.

Since he doesn't have email or access to the internet (he's still living outside mostly) he hasn't been able to reply to individually to everyone. Instead he just sends out this message of thanks to all those that supported him.

Hi

Thanks for all the support, email and cards that people sent. I'm doing a lot better, staying on site quite a lot and enjoying being back.

Thanks

Rob

Sherwood Green Spring Fayre

31.03.2004 10:32

The Sherwood Green protest site has decided to hold a Spring Fayre on Sunday 25th April. The event is a way of raising awareness about the planned road junction and the campaign to save Sherwood Forest's finest beech tree. It's also a way to show the locals of Mansfield Woodhouse that this land is theirs. The camp also hopes to raise some much needed funds too.

The event will be a traditional type of Spring Fayre but we'd also be happy to see some input from environmental/eco/activist groups too as that is what the whole site is about. Seems like a good opportunity to raise some awareness in a fun setting.

So far in the early planning stages we hope to have archery, games, raffle, maypole dancing, tree climbing workshops, cinema, samba band, morris dansing, food stalls, freak show, music (any bands out there interested?), fancy dress and circus performers.

The event will run from 2pm to 10pm.

We need people's help and input so if you'd like to contribute a stall or something else please get in touch.
