Cambridge against the G8?

Rich | 26.03.2004 11:36 | Globalisation | Social Struggles | Cambridge

The G8 (the leaders of the richest and most powerful nations) are holding their annual meeting in the UK in 2005. In keeping with the commitment of people around the world to oppose the policies that come out of such meetings, a network has been set up to co-ordinate resistance to the meeting next year.

See  http://www.enrager.net/current/g8/ for more details.

So, is there room for a Dissent! Network group in Cambridge? It could be a useful way to organise in the run-up to the UK G8 meeting and hopefully form the basis of an ongoing collective for radical political action.

The next national meeting of the Network takes place during the last weekend in April 2004, in Manchester. Is anyone else from Cambridge interested in going along? Or maybe getting together before then to discuss how a Cambridge Dissent! group might work?
