20 Years After The Great Miners Strike

There's an event commemmorating the twentieth anniversary this weekend of the start of the Miner's Strike in 1984.
The event will be held at Sheffield City Hall Ballroom on Sunday 28th March and doors will open at 6pm.
Speakers include:
- Ken Capstick - former Labor MP and chairman of Yorkshire's National Union of Mineworkers
- Paul Foot - political journalist
- Ian Mitchell - ex-miner
- a Women Against Pit Closures representative
This event is organised by South Yorkshire NUJ ( http://www.nuj.org.uk/) and supported by the NUM.
