Assassination of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin

Is this assassination any more than just murder?

Isn't it hypocritical for Israeli Zionists to be assassinating opposition leaders? The Israeli government hasn't done enought to work for peace. This was murder. How can Israeli Zionists claim the area on the basis of their religion and then denounce others for doing the same based on their own religion (by not recognising Israel).
The roadmap for peace produced by the west in order to help justify the war on Iraq was completely ignored.
And (based on the Israeli action that has just taken place) would it now be justified for Palestinians to assassinate Ariel Sharon?

The death of a man responsible for sending suicide bombers into Israel to kill men, women and children is not an event I will be regreting.

Good ridance, if the Israelis kill some more of these scum then I for one will be happy.

What a tragic day...

...for terrorist sympathisers around the world.
Yassin was personally responsible for the deaths of dozens, if not hundreds, of INNOCENT Israeli CIVILIANS.

He declared war on Israel, as such he was a legitimate military target and therefore his death was completely justified. Especially so since the PA refuses to deal with HAMAS, and in fact further encourages the terrorist murder of Israeli civilians.

One who trades in death should expect the death which he sows so randomly to be exacted upon himself.

But if u still think it was wrong, how about this:
August 22nd, 2003. Abdel Aziz Rantissi (leader, Hamas):
"We love martyrdom and we seek martyrdom," Rantissi said. "Our leaders and followers will continue to fight until we achieve martyrdom."
Israel has finally granted "martyrdom" to this "poor, frail old man", which was apparently his wish.
What's everyone complaining about?
Rantissi, you're next, and you asked for it.

This will be the beginning of the end of Israel.

History will remember Sharon as the man who brought Zionism to its logical conclusion, and rendered Jerusalem uninhabitable forever.
