Latest Whistle Blower newsletter

Mike Lane | 20.03.2004 08:57 | Liverpool

Could not get this on. Sometimes Indymedia wont work.

Riversid Hoousing, the city council and the New Deal for Communities 36 over paid useless administrators are up to all sorts of social injustice in my community. This newsletter covers some issues connected with demlitions of tenants houses and how demolition homeowners are being given first choice of new builds for rent.

nice newsletter. it would help your argument - and maybe get more supporters - if you explained why the regeneration people think social engineering such as this is a good idea. then, you take it apart. ok, the middle-class managers get big money from co-ordinating these projects but what's their rationale? i see the council has just posted its own housing newsletter. maybe you rattled their cage. also:

Just posted the ESF article to Liverpool Indymedia...

I've just reposted the ESF article, what does ESF stand for by the way???

Is it European Social Forum by chance?? This is very significant if it...

Having read the article I'd suggest that the policy suggested is exactly what is happening here in Liverpool at the 'cutting edge' and in other places, like Newcastle in the west end where housing built just 8 years earlier was up for demolition under a so called regeneration plan called "Going For Growth", however the Geordies kicked off, marched and campaigned and the council were put on the back heel, which is what is needed here in Liverpool and on wider Merseyside. Social engineering, is what has been and continues to be the game plan of the middle class power elite in Liverpool.
