Chumbawamba's Alice Nutter reports on Mexican Sweatshops

Alice Nutter from the pop band Chumbawamba will report back to the local group of the UK anti-sweatshop campaign No Sweat on her recent visit to Mexico at a public meeting in Leeds on 22nd March. Alice will be joined on the platform by Chinese trades unionist Wendelin,c.w.huang and local No Sweat activist Kate Buckell
The Leeds No Sweat public meeting will hear reports from Alice Nutter of the prominent leeds based pop band Chumbawamba and Wendelin,c.w.huang a trades union activist from the Chinese Labour Federation.
Alice recently returned from a No Sweat visit of Mexican trades unions organizing within sweatshops. She will be reporting on the visit and discussing ways to build solidarity with sweatshop workers.
Wendelin will speak about the development of the labour movement in Taiwan over the last decade and the ongoing fight to organize sweatshop workers.
There will be plenty of time within the meeting for questions and discussion. The meeting will also discuss a series of future anti-sweatshop activities within Leeds.
