A Victim of the Terror Atrocities
A Victim of the Terror Atrocities

Responsible?
Responsible?

This is yet another example of terrorism hitting soceity and civilisation and murdering of innocent civilians. But was ETA responsible?

Terrorist experts are suggesting this was the work of Osama Bin Laden's terror and murder organisation Al Qaeda. There are many more pointers towards a Al Qaeda terror attack rather than ETA. Firstly, it bears all the hallmarks of the disgraceful terror group, fronted by terror imbecile Bin Laden. The attack was was unexpected, low-tech and with the aim of inflicting mass casualties. The bombs were all packed on trains for mass-murder. There was also no warning. ETA generally warn of attacks, to prevent the risk of killing lots of innocent civilians. They are only interested in getting their cause into the news, and to be heard. Al Qaeda however are based on terror and murder.

The attack was also well co-ordinated, like other Al-Qaeda atrocities, like September the 11th. While ETA, prefer to assassinate politicians and soldiers. Regional terror groups such as the ETA the IRA and the PLO always hesitate from inflicting mass casualties because it's not in their political interest to do so. The largest ever death count by ETA was in the low 20s.

Al-Qaeda do have a motif for this repulsive crime. They can stir up even more trouble in Spain between ETA and the Spanish Government. This could lead to the Spanish Government saying to the US, 'we can't support your war on terror, were too busy with are own'. It could scare the likes of France & Germany supporting the US in anti-terrorist campaigns in the future.

Other evidence in support of Al-Qaeda carrying out the deaths of innocent civilians include a van used in the attack with a tape of verses from the Koran in a stolen van containing seven detonators. They even claim to have carried out the attack exactly 911 days after September the 11th.

These terrorists must be brought to justice, and tried for their crimes.

The innocent on those trains and around them, did not deserve to die. These villians will be found, and they will receive punishment for this plague they have brought upon the planet.

I send my condolences to the people of Spain.

Live Long and Prosper to the people who survived or witnessed the attacks. The world is with you.

My Deepest Sympathies, Yes

I'd like to extend my deepest sympathies, from Canada, but would also like to say to the Spanish People that, like most "Western" nations, they had better start fighting back against their Extremist "leaders" (those terrorists with no morals, differing from Fascists how exactly ... ?), lest they become the victims of their Government's actions the next time it profits them.

Balance of killing

13.03.2004 09:33

It's amazing how the rhetoric works, and how well the entire media gets on message. It can't be all by planning. There's more to it.

Maybe it's because the West does its killing by agents of state, who's violence we are trained to forgive because we believe it is properly planned an authorized. The killing is done on a massive scale, and its planning is done in public. It gives the message that there is nothing to be ashamed of. We've nothing to be ashamed of by sending in a cruise missile into a Baghdad marketplace. There was a war on. We were protecting America. You have a problem with that?

The other side's terrorists have to work in the dark for security reasons. It makes their work more random and unknowable. They lack the PR to explain their message, so they allow our government assign them a message: "it's because they're crazy and they hate freedom".

We simply don't know what the intent of these bombs was. All we are hearing is what our governments would like the point to be.

Blame Spanish Leader's Foreign Policy

13.03.2004 22:36

Whoever did it is mostly irrelevant. This argument keeps in line with government propaganda that tries to divert attention from their own complicity in this horrendous event. By placing blame entirely on a non-government organization rather than on Spanish policy that supports war and occupation in Iraq is a diversionary tactic that I pray will not work on the Spanish.

Whether provoceteurs of the U.S.A state, the ETA or another organization bombed the trains is not the point. The point that must be made by the millions on the streets of Spain is that their government must back out of the war on the Middle East. Their government must pull out all troops and all backing for the occupation and continued war on the people of Iraq. If not, the millions of Spainish people must have a general strike until the government agrees to their demands.

People all around the world must stand up together for peace and against war and imperialism. All the world's citizens must tell their capitalist leaders to pull out of Iraq and Afghanistan. We must stand steadfast in demanding an end to war, and an end to support of military aggression by all countries. Bush and his pirates must be isolated. Our leaders must be made to listen to what we want, or they must be toppled and replaced with people's governments.

The terrorists in Spain will certainly be found (framed or otherwise) and brought to justice. But if only the actual bombers are located and punished, and not the government of Spain and its policies, I fear that this type of event will never end.

With Canada's support of American Policy in the Middle East, and our continued support in Afghanistan, and yes in Iraq, we too are targets for a terrorist act. For what are we doing in Afghanistan if not securing that country as a pipeline for stolen Iraqi oil?

All out March 20 against war, terrorism, and an end to occupations.

Gloria

We are very sorry.

15.03.2004 15:49

Good Morning-

I am a 33 yr old American woman who wanted to send condolences to Madrid for the 201 people killed and also those hurt in last week's terrorist attacks.
Although, I do not live in New York, I was very moved by the support your country had for us during 9/11 when the planes crashed in the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. You can't understand how important it was to us to know that not everyone outside our country hated us. When outsiders do such horrible things, that's what you think. (Everyone hates us).

I certainly appreciated your prayers then. Thank you.
I would also like to return the love you gave to us and let you know we Americans are very sorry for your loss and also pray for the families who lost loved ones in such a terrible and senseless attack.

We love you and pray for the souls lost and the families who are coping. We hope the cowards who attacked these people are brought to justice.
God Bless Madrid.
Peace.
