The Tide is Rising - benefit gig

Rising Tide and Corporate Watch have organised a benefit gig on Tuesday 16th March at Northgate Hall, St Michaels Street, Oxford. There will be poets, singers, music and theatre. Doors open at 7:30 for an 8pm start, cost £5 waged, £3 unwaged.

It's front page news and front line stuff - climate change is here to stay.
But who's
responsible, what can we do about it, and how?

Rising Tide and Corporate Watch have organised a benefit gig to raise
awareness,
offer suggestions and fund campaigning work on climate change, corporations
and
social justice.

The Tide is Rising gig will feature the finest performers from Oxford and
beyond. It's at
Northgate Hall, St Michael's Street, Oxfordon Tuesday 16th March at 8pm
(doors
open at 7:30pm).

The evening will feature:

Frabjous Day - Oxford based female vocal harmony group
Kate Fletcher - the Nightingale of the Oxford Canal - sings sweet,
soulfulsongs
Fred Bjorkevall - guitar and songs from an international trio
John Hoggett - queer, hippy, eco-poet and humourist
Timothy Crich - blunt ironic poems from Oxford lad about town
Haidee Harrison - sweet, funny and sharp poetry
Claire Fawcett - People and Planet's radical supergirly poetess

Plus slapstickperformance on climate injustice! And buckets of information
on the
door.
