ok short (ish) and not so sweet
AROOOOOGAAAAAA!!!!!!!!
please network immediately
for the last two days forty bailiffs, obviously hired for the camp eviction which didnt happen (UP YOURS COSTAIN/ CAERPHILLY COUNCIL VOLDERMORT ET AL WE ARE STILL HERE) have been "protecting" chainsaws as they massacre ancient woodland,

including the roosting nest of a buzzard (which flew out of the tree as it fell). Despite a massive increase in trashing, most of the woods still remain, our numbers are growing, WE ARE STILL STOPPING WORK and with a tiny percentage of the sorts of numbers who show up for something like Mayday, we could close down the site. WHERE ARE YOU ALL? THE REVOLUTION IS HERE AND NOW!

ongoing illegal habitat trashing and people trashing (see older postings) mean that we are building the case against Costain daily.
WE CAN STILL WIN THIS the bailiffs have only been hired until the end of the week apparently, (watch out sherwood???) so bodies on site NOW is going to make a massive difference.
first arrest on site today- one of the local teenagers- released without charge apparently.

more legal crap
THE CAMPS WILL BE BACK IN COURT PROBABLY THIS THURSDAY
the gits are going back to the high court probably this thursday, to appeal the order we won on the 5th, which gave us permission to apply to appeal the possession order with a date of the 22nd. So, Edwards Geldard solicitors of Cardiff acting on behalf of costain et al, are appealing to stop us going to ask for permission to appeal. Ie, they are trying to get us to shut up and go away, and closing down the legal process before we get a chance to go to court and expose them for the illegal habitat trashing child molesting (15 year old girls getting groped) scum that they are. and no we still havent got legal representation, there is no justice just us etc etc.
So ,er, bummer, get your arses down here, also watch this space.

PLEASETAKE THE TIME TO LOOK THROUGH OTHER POSTINGS FOR CONTACT NUMBERS AND SITE DIRECTIONS
(and /or, lovely networky people, please add em now)

DIRECTIONS- bus to Blackwood from Cardiff or Newport (Newport is nearer). St Davids Wood visible on skyline on right hand side of valley (if coming from Cardiff- on left hand side if coming from the north) it's a 15 min walk from Blackwood High Street see directions below.

Driving - take J28 from M4, signposted A467 Brynmawr, then A4048 Tredegar and you'll find signposts to Blackwood on that road.
Along high street, find the Asda on right hand side of road-take back road straight on at a couple of roundabouts- find the Rock and Fountain pub, take road up the hill past the pub up to old railway line. Walk along track follow the yellow jackets trail of destruction, camps on the right in lovely trees.

2 and 300-year old trees gone.

Two cordons of 26 bailiffs stopped protesters getting to the trees, but they managed to get into the trees before the third cordon was in place.
If the remaining trees are to be saved they need more people NOW!

About half the Ancient Woods has now gone

This morning the site had 2 options of what to do - because there wasn't enough people to do both they had to pick one and leave the other.
This cost hundreds of huge trees that could've been saved with enough people.

The biggest/oldest Beech trees are still there, people squatting them but more people needed to take their place elsewhere.

Some people have been getting there mid-afternoon, but they need people EARLY in the mornings so work can be stopped. Or come in the afternoon/evening and stay overnight!

costain are taking them to court on Thursday to try and stop the appeal on 22 March going ahead - if the worst should happen they could be looking at eviction this weekend - so again, more people desperately needed.

A large number of the protesters are local kids taking time off school/college - although they're doing a great job they could really do with a few more experienced activists.

The only bits of the wood they can't touch at the moment are the camps, which are only a small part of it!

These next few days really are the last chance to help save the Ancient Woods!!

PLEASE get there if you can!!

Please spread this around!
