[Jerusalem, Occupied Palestine] The first hearing of the Israeli
Supreme Court concerning the legality of the Wall in the North Western
area of Jerusalem will start Today Sunday February 29, 2004, at 8:30am
in Jerusalem. Three days after the demonstration in Biddu village
where three Palestinians were killed and one shot in the head and
currently on life support, the Popular Committee Against the Wall
representing 10 villages in the region of Beit Surik is taking their
case to the Israeli Supreme Court and calling for people to show their
opposition to the building of the Wall of Apartheid.
There will be people gathering in front of the Supreme Court House in
Jerusalem from 8:15am and the Popular Committee Against the Wall calls
for a general strike in Jerusalem. Villagers will also show their
steadfast opposition by marching from Biddu to Qatanna.
The villagers are planning these actions to protest against the
building of the Wall of Apartheid through their lands and to fight for
the survival of their communities.
