Today a handful of protesters from the Fleetwood Animal Rights Alliance decided to inform the people of Blackpool exactly what Asahi Glass does behind closed doors. Armed with posters, banners and human sized letters spelling out “Asahi Glass Puppy Killers”, we set up a display on Blackpool promenade and leafleted passers-by. The response was great – people were very concerned to hear that Asahi Glass poisons animals such as rats and six week old puppies at Huntingdon Life Sciences, the notoriously cruel and incompetent contract testing laboratory. People visiting the top of Blackpool tower were very intrigued to see our huge message and hurried down to ask for more information, and a few people were so concerned that they joined in and helped us to inform others. Asahi Glass should know that we will continue to name and shame them until they sever links with Huntingdon Life Sciences.
