The RAF's Air Marshal G L Torpy, who orchestrated the UK contribution to the recent bombing of Iraq, was confronted today in Cambridge, as he gave a lecture for the Royal Aeronautical Society on "The Air War In Iraq".
A vigil was held outside Cambridge University's Engineering Department where the lecture was taking place. Several campaigners who tried to distribute leaflets inside the venue were violently ejected by University security officers, making a mockery of the principle of free speech in our educational institutions.
