ANTI-WAR MOVEMENT IGNORES ABUSED WAR PRISONER IN IRAQ.

Mark James. | 11.02.2004 12:48

PROOF THAT THE ANTI-WAR MOVEMENT IS JEALOUS OF A EUROPEAN MAN WHO WAS A PRISONER OF WAR IN IRAQ. THEY IGNORE HIM AND REFUSE TO HELP. PACIFISTS DISPLAY WAR-LIKE CHARACTERISTICS.

I know of one man who was a prisoner of war in Iraq last year, a westerner. Infact he was the only POW from his country in the entire war. He had a very bad time and suffered many of the things the anti-war movement love to moan about., He was abused by American soldiers and held in custody for no reason. He went back to his country expecting that the anti-war people would support him, invite him to speak, offer comfort and advice and arrange things to assist his mental state.

BUT NO, HE HEARD ONLY SILENCE.
He waited for a while but nothing happened, despite one of the anti-war dudes knowing him personally. Still nothing happened so he assumed they thought he must have needed time alone. He did at first but had a lot to un-load; he needed someone to talk to. He waited some more.

BUT NO, HE HEARD ONLY SILENCE.
This frigntening lack of response happened in the good old UK folks. Get this; even when Georgie Boy went over to the UK in Nov last year, they still didn't get in touch! He thought they would have been busy with the Bush visit so he kept calm and waited a bit longer.

BUT NO, HE HEARD ONLY SILENCE.
He then thought that they may not have his email (impossible as the story is widely posted on the net) so he went to the local ant-war web site and emailed every email address he could find, explaining what he'd suffered and witnessed. He expected to be flooded with mail and offers to speak, advice on lawyers and all the rest of it, but no. Only one person replied, yes thats O N E, one!!!! This was not a friendly mail and tried to sugest he should subscribe to the discussion group. The mailer then said that my friend (who I have written about on Indymedia) should expect nothing from his local anti-war group. WHAT !

I find this incredible, I really do. Here is a story right before their eyes and they chose to ignore it, wasting time handing out leaflets in town, selling cakes on saturday markets and marching to god knows where with banners than no-one reads. Here was a hot international news story but they were too jealous to allow this guy to steal the show.

WERE THEY JEALOUS? Here was a guy right next door who had a story that could blow them all away but still nothing.

They do not want to deal with this man or help him in any way as they feel it will defeat the reason for their existence. In other words, the survival of their little clique, the continuance of their crappy meetings is more important than this mans truth. They don't want to hear the truth as it will, effectively, put them out of an effective job. They wish they too could have been captured in Iraq.......IN THEIR DREAMS.

In case you think I am pro-war, listen up. I am an extreme pacifist and lover of truth. I find the actions of these people absolutelty pathetic. I almost went along to my own local anti-war group but decided that these are the kind of people I don't want in my ilfe.

The prisoner of war I refer to in this article knows I am posting on Indymedia. He does not agree with the postings but will allow them providing I do not reveal his name. Please contact me for more information directly......unless indymedia is full of people like this local anti-war group I mentioned.

Without hunger and third world poverty there is no Oxfam, Save The Children Fund or Care - get the point. Without problems in society there is a reduced need for police so both the state and NGO need problems to exists; so does the anti-war movement. So why ignore this guy?

I may post more details on this; we'll see.
