Council sells out trees for lottery cash. Leeds Council officials are
feeling the heat as angry protesters learn how the Council hatched secret
plans with Heritage Lottery Fund to fell hundreds of trees in Roundhay
Park in return for lottery funding.

Having submitted a Lottery Application claiming wide community support, it has emerged that two so called Public Exhibitions were not for ordinary members of the public but for a group specially selected by the Council. Protests will continue outside the
main Park Gates (opposite Tropical World) on Saturday, 14th February at 10.30
