13:30 The demonstration has started and was stopped right away because of forbidden banners. It is now moving again.
14:00 According to participants it's impossible to estimate the size of the demonstration "It's just too big!". There is a big black bloc (approx. 1.000 ppl), a queer bloc (approx. 200 ppl), a big internationalist bloc with many Turkish and Chechnyan people, a red (communist) bloc. More big groups are Attac, Verdi (services union), Jusos (Social dem. party youths), DKP (Comm. party), FAU (Anarchist). There are many banners "Patriarchy and War - two sides to one coin", "Stop the worldwide wars of NATO countries", "Peace for Irak, Freedom for Chechnya", "USA and NATO out of the Gulf region", "NATO security means global danger of war", "Peace talks with Arslan Maschadow now", "No neoliberal and militarist EU constitution", "Fischer, Schröder and company promote peace only with words".
14:15 The demonstration has arrived at Viktualienmarkt. Atmosphere is very tense. The police grabbed banners from the demonstration and keeps attacking people. All banners carried on the sides of the march are forbidden unless they are carried on sticks at least 2 m high.
15:00 Head of the demonstration has reached Sendlinger Tor, approx. half od the planned route.

16:45 Ongoing confrontations with the police. Organizers call the police to let all those people go home who want to do so.
16:50 The rally has ended. Police headquarter is surrounded by police.
17:30 Some arrests and a lot of controls in the city center.
20:20 Legal Team: Total of 60 arrests today, 41 persons are still in police custody (police headquarters in Ettstraße). All together there were 306 freedom deprivements.
20:30 A bus from Berlin was controlled on its way back from Munich, all passengers were photographed.
According to police today 39 people were temporarily apprehended, 10 were taken in custody. The police counted 5.000 participants. The organizing team against the Nato-War-Conference emanates from 10-12.000 participants and is satisfied with the demonstration. According to the organizing team the demonstration was more united compared to last year and processed in good spirits. Despite of diverse provocations from police the demonstration could continue to the end. In Munich it is common to inform the police of persons dressed up or made up before a demonstration. This rule was successfully refused by the organizing team, because the identity of those persons was simply unknown.
The condition not to carry side-banners was estimated as interfering into the right of demonstration, to give police a reason to attack the demonstration. All together police behaviour was answered by the demonstrators in a flexible and competent way, which helped for a successful process of protests.
