An Anti-War Musical Parody - mp3 file

Chris Edwards | 04.02.2004 14:44 | Anti-militarism | Culture

This is a parody of Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire".

I recently discovered that during the second Iraq war last year, a pal of mine wrote some alternative words to the song "Ring of Fire" re-dubbed "Friendly Fire". A couple of weeks ago, we recorded it and here it is in mp3 format.

Alternative lyrics and mandolin: Gerry Dumpty
Vocals and Guitar Cliff Pavarotti
Mandola: Chris eEdwards

This is the best track i've downloaded in ages, with a real sing-along chorus

We don't care 'bout your teeming millions
we can't tell soldiers from civillians
and it burns burns burns, that friendly fire
that friendly fire

Can't make out what the words are at

Trigger-happy {xxxxxx} - We remember the Alamo ?
