I gather that the euphemism used by the magistrates was that the police were "confused"!

I can see how its easy to confuse having someone talking to you with having someone punch and assault you. Its a very common mistake, I can totally understand how the police could make it. But I do feel our policemen should have more training in distinguishing between 'Assault', which is a serious crime, and 'Doing Nothing', which is usually pretty harmeless.

The sad thing is, now James is free to roam the wilds of Britain causing mischief and mayhem in his wake. How will young capitalists be able to rest easy at night? Who knows what may soon be lurking out in the countryside ;)

Great news, seems everyone who is anyone in the system thinks they can lie,lie and lie. Can't see GMP being too pleased with this though, prepare for the knee-jerk!

... I have watched police beat up peacefull protesters (eg Brighton Halloween 2003), they were confused! That's all right then, but I must remember not to get confused myself!!!
