Update on Dis-Asda (Anti-Walmart Campaign) on the Old Kent Rd..

The constant batlle with Asda/Walmart and Authorities is continuing on Ossory Road. Multiple evictions have been carrried out this week by authorities but protesters manage to keep claiming the building back from bailiffs.

However On wed 27th of jan, the sherriff executed the high court order again along with bailiffs, police and sniffer dogs. Resistance continued for about 3hrs. after which protesters were greatly outnumbered like 1:8 and we have now lost the building on Ossory Rd. yet again. Protesters however are still occupying the site on Ossory rd and are based in caravans battling the harsh weather along with Walmart+Authorities. The

Authorities have hinted that they intend to get Protesters out of the site as well within the next few weeks or so.

Ossory Road, off the Old Kent Road, South London. Take buses 53, 172 or 453 from Elephant and Castle, 21 from London Bridge or 78 from Liverpool Street. Get off two stops after Tescos on the Old Kent Road. Ossory Road is on your right. Down Ossory, the entrance to site is just before the second gate on yr right (not the gate leading onto the blockaded drive-through which runs directly up to the now security-managed building).

there are limited sleeping places but people can sleep round the fire. better if you can come with someone else if one person is willing to take charge of "up-all-night" duty to keep the fire going, so those without beds can sleep all night in a comfy chair round the fire in the communal area. If you can stay a night, please bring a blanket, overwise you can leave at any time .....the Old kent Road is well-served with Nightbuses.

Also, if you intend to eat here ......forget it!! No, really.

Directions down Ossory rd given earlier had one error.

Directions are: "Down Ossory, the entrance to site is just before the second gate on yr "LEFT". (thats left-hand side of the road).
