Liberty's coffin nailed shut in the UK - 2004

PACA - West Midlands | 28.01.2004 23:57 | Animal Liberation

Things are getting shitty in 2004 where protests in the UK are concerned ...

In the last three weeks People Against Cruelty to Animals - West Midlands have experienced severe repression in the form of megaphones being 'banned' at the Sequani vivisection labs protests, Section 5, incitement to cause disorderly conduct is used against PACA activists every week.

Anti-fur protests have been dispersed recently in Worcester by cops (breach of the peace) and the latest: Three PACA activists were hemmed in a private car park in Ledbury, Herefordshire on the evening of 27/01/04 by a cop land rover and squad car after the neighbourhood of a Sequani vivisection labs worker had been leafletted with leaflets naming and shaming the PUPPY KILLER, warnings of harassment were dished out by the filth after the PUPPY KILLER complained that someone had called her the latter outside her home. The cops had no proof so could not press charges but went tooth and comb over the vehicle the activists in the area were travelling in and threatened arrests if driving details weren't given (section 25).

Our last remaining liberties are being erased by the day now that the new harassment laws have come into effect since 20/01/04, it's hard to move this way or that.

Peace, Solidarity,

PACA
