On April 11 2002, President Hugo Chavez of Venezuela – beloved by the country's working class but despised by its wealthy élite and oil interests as well as the US Government – was deposed in a coup d'état. So strong was the popular uprising that followed that 48 hours later he was returned to power. This award-winning film was made by two independent filmmakers who were inside the presidential palace at the time, and gives a rare first-hand account of the struggle for power.
