Bush and Blair are real victims...

lenin | 18.01.2004 14:10 | Anti-militarism

The Real Victims Let's be honest. The Bush and Blair are the real victims of this war. They were lied to by their intelligence services, maligned by the press, scorned by the public. All for trying to overthrow a rancorous dictator who GASSED HIS OWN PEOPLE, YES HIS OWN PEOPLE.

Let's be a little bit more honest than that...

Well, he/she has a point...a Buddhist would argue that the real sufferers are the violent people because they are so unhappy..and if you think about the people who are actually carrying out this violence & what happens to them (the traumatised shell shocked young soldiers) it makes sense..Bush & Blair though...not actually doing it, jsut ordering it...must be trying to stifle their consciences like crazy (Bush probably being way more out of touch with his on account of his born again Christian malarkey...

To be even more honest

Bush and Blair are more lying than lied to, and they are still at it. Their intelligence people are angry that their info was "sexed up" to start the war. The plutonium from Niger thing was known to be a lie for months before Bush used it. They must have known they didn't have hard evidence for the presence of WMD in Iraq, yet they said they did. The evidence is that it wasn't the intelligence departments trying to start a war here,it was the policians, so why on earth do you regard Bush and Blair as victims ?

Ok, so it might not have been gass,

19.01.2004 00:53

but lets not forget the fact that George W. presided over the most brutal penal system in the US with slightly more than just one or two executions, or that he headed the coallition that sent at leat 500 of their own guys to die miles from home for a cause that no-one quite understands fully. Yes Sadam is a complete bastard, but he's not the only one and he's not the worst...

Its far too early in the morning for that

are you absolutely sure ?

So he gassed his own people ?

Are you absolutely sure?
Have you checked out the UN report into what happened ?
Have you noticed that a war was raging over this area at the time ?
Iraq v Iran.
That this area was hugely significant ?
That the type of poison gas responsible was at that time in use by iran, but not by iraq ?

Nobody told you any of this ?

Thats why you have the internet.
Use it.

I'm not saying I know the certain answer. Just that perhaps by now, at least here, we should be a bit less accepting of the usual propaganda.

Time you found out what we (the British) did to the Kurds in the beginning years of last century, I think Saddam took a leaf out of our books, that's right WE USED GAS, and Churchil congratulated the action. Is all there, go fish.
