Dissent! a network of Resistance Against the G8 is a network of automomous groups, rooted in the local, who are united in the aim of building a mobilisation against the G8, based on the PGA hallmarks. Whilst this is about creating a strong energy and effective and powerful actions against the G8 there is also the recognition that the hosting of the G8 in the UK (2005) is an opportunity to strengthen and develop existing activist networks. It is a recognition of the need for self reflection on tactics, organisation and accessibility. It has begun with a question: where do we want to see ourselves one year on from the G8?
