Celebrating the U.S. "Conquest" of Iraq At Leeds North Bar

Mark Barnsley | 15.01.2004 16:22 | Anti-militarism

Leeds North Bar is currently celebrating the American "Conquest" of Iraq.

It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good and capitalism loves an opportunist. Still, opponents of the war in Iraq may be surprised to see the Iraqui genocide not only being celebrated in one Leeds city centre venue, but being used as an opportunity to sell more beer. North Bar on New Briggate (opposite St Mark's Church) currently have a prominent sign on display behind the bar reading "North Bar celebrates America's conquering of Iraq this month with a selection of supreme beers from the USA..." Disgusted? You can ring North Bar on (0113) 2424540

Noth Bar has lost the plot. Employing unskilled monkeys with NO people skills and NO bartending skills might LOOK like good business sense. Until they lose you ALL your clientele. Good bye North Bar we used to love you. Now you dont even treat us like human beings,
