Why on earth would I...

Why would I want to waste money voting for some Political Hack more interested in keeping himself in nice suits and smoking those expensive cigars than really fighting for the likes of us?

NO

He's just another self serving man engaged in bolloxtrix, he did nothing for the anti-war movement really, he made us look like a mass of radical looneys who supported Saddam.

The thing is I actually quite like most of what he had to say , but ....

Why is he in the Labour government at all? With his so called 'convictions' he should have burned his labour membership card long ago, he doesn't belong in a Thatcherite government and should have been standing as the last election as an independent.

It is simple as this HE WANTS VOTES, that is he wants power, and that is what drives these greedy little sods whatever they say. It has nothing to do with forwarding Britain, or in the case of the Labour party the so called working classes, if it did then why are so many of them from the upper class establishment (or the Norman occupation force as I prefer to think of them).

He could be sitting outside the establishment demanding fair democratic representation, which would have meant the ability for us to have a true debate on the war, lords reform, PR, and all sorts of other labour promisses and values that were bandied around in election times in order to trick us into participating in this false democracatic smokescreen.

get real

George Galloway was expelled from the labour party against his wishes.
He has put his political career on the line, if he was really corrupt he would have just kept his mouth shut and voted with Blair like a lot of MPs did.
For that reason he deserves to win this vote. Its a way of showing our opposition to the war and this corrupt government

can see your reasoning, but

He was pushed, like Ken, if he had guts and real principals, as I said, he would have stood as an independent long ago. And he has damaged the anti war movement badly, you are forgetting how broad that movement is, its not just anarchists and marxists, its full of ordinary voting citizens, they still listen to the media and hear his pro Saddam shite!

I have slightly more respect in some ways for Claire Short who I wanted to strangle at the time for her ethical sell out, at least she took the initiative and left rather than waiting for the expulsion, again far far too late.

A party politician in no real politician, just the scaffolding that holds up the badly painted backdop of freedom. They get enough rewards, ok they are just as hollow and are there for exactly the same reason.

Give it to Tom Hurndall, there is a true hero of politics.

Voting for...

Play the game! Embarrass Blair by voting for George G - even if he is a politician, a Labour Party member (not any more tho!), and whatever else. I don't even vote in elections - cos' as an anarchist, I have a problem with parliamentary democracy - but I can see the advantage of embarrasing Blair and breaking the hegemony of the pro-war media and state somewhat. Its just a bit of fun for fucks sake anyway, why get self-righteous about everything - grow up!

And as for voting for David Kelly - that pro-war, MI5/6 secret service bastard - he deserved what he got. Anyone with an iota of intelligence could tell that Saddam didn't have any weapons that could threaten Britain or America. For our supposed 'expert' in the field to simply question aspects of Blair's assertions, rather than the whole shebang is ridiculous. He should have come clean and said "Its all a load of bollocks" but he didn't... No, I have no sympathy for that bastard.

If you're an anarchist, you can hardly support David Kelly who worked for the secret state over someone who's been smeared by it. Even if they are a politician.

Galloway

"And he has damaged the anti war movement badly, you are forgetting how broad that movement is, its not just anarchists and marxists, its full of ordinary voting citizens, they still listen to the media and hear his pro Saddam *****!"

But actually George Galloway wasn't in favour of Saddam. That's just the public perception. Not helped by media misrepresentation including false (or so far unproven) allegations some of which have been retracted now. The allegations also appeared more concrete because of the Neo Labor party suspension and later expulsion.

I would say vote for either George Galloway or Robin Cook.

the entire anti-war movement was labelled 'pro-Saddam' not just Galloway...

Yes completely irrational isn't it! However I think Galloway was particularly made a target of it by the media. He was made into a scapegoat for the whole movement.
