m8 | 06.01.2004 17:00 | Gender | London
To prepare for March 8th 2004 (International Women's Day) in London a group of people have put together some basic infrastructure to help get things going.
A website ( http://www.enrager.net/m8) and discussion list have been set up. Please join the discussion list (see bottom of text) if you want to get involved in planning or are interested in any way.
Ideas which we have had so far which could be involved:
* Childcare
* Street Harassment ('Reclaim The Night' actions?)
* Fair Wages
* Sex Workers
* Domestic Violence
* Rape Awareness
* Women's Health/alternative medicine
* Sweat Shop Labour
But we need more ideas and people with time and effort to get this off the ground! We envisage events which run over a series of days comprised of awareness raising and actions.
We are planning to hold a meeting soon at a central london location so keep your eyes peeled for more information!
