dear yanqui goon

An open letter to all yanqui goons

dear yanqui goon,
You say you were forced to join the military because you needed a job. You knew the military might order you to invade a foreign country and kill its people, but you brushed that aside because you wanted to pick up some skills and go to college. You liked the benefits too, i.e., the travel, the macho image, etc.

But now you’re in Iraq and the Iraqi resistance is shooting at you from every angle. Your comrades all around you are loosing limbs and dying. But you’re a tuff guy and your reply to that is: “Hajji will pay”.

You say it’s OK to kill Iraqis because they’re trying to kill you. Why are they trying to kill you? Is it because, as George Bush would say, “they’re jealous of America’s freedom and democracy”? Or are they trying to kill you because you are occupying their country?

How would you feel if the US were occupied by foreign troops? How would you treat someone if they broke into your house, raped your wife, killed your children, rearranged the furniture, stole or destroyed all of your belongings, etc.?

If you want the Iraqis to stop shooting at you and your comrades then you can do one of the following: 1) Get out of Iraq and encourage your comrades to do the same; 2) Refuse to obey orders; 3) Organize a rebellion within the military as the US troops did in Vietnam; 4) Join the resistance as some of the Black US troops did during the US invasion of the Philippines in 1900.

Finally, you say you don’t like being called a goon. A goon is a mindless creature, who murders for his master.
If you don’t want to be called a goon then stop acting like one!

Sincerly,

Atticus Finch
