strange media releases

Compare these 2 stories

'Best gift' for hostage parents

Student held in Iraq released

Guess which one got endless MAJOR NATIONAL TV coverage with interveiws / shots of parents anxiously waiting to hear news...

clue: it wasn't the release of Urslaan Khan...[received only local news coverage on UK North East news...where Urslaan accused the both the US army of bias firstly in arresting him because he was a bearded muslim and the British media for inconsisencies in reporting his release compared to Mark Hendersons release from Columbian revolutionaries...]

Now take a look at the scaremongering story from the TIMES written at the time of Urslaan Khans arrest

"Mr Khan is the first Briton to be arrested in Iraq for having alleged links with groups responsible for ambushing the US-led multinational force.Saba Rhader Kerem, a spokesman for the Kurdish forces who arrested Mr Khan, said "He had his British passport with him but he could not give a reason for being here. A routine patrol stopped him about four weeks ago. "
Briton arrested in Iraq 'as he tried to join terrorist group'

Any young Muslim who is concerned about the situation and perhaps wants to see for themselves the situation... and learn from the situation [Urslaan Khan was a student of Arab studies] are accused of being terrorists...
It seems anyone who wants to better his or her mind is a terrorist threat...
Urslaan Khan was brave for wanting to go and see with hi own eyes the situation in Iraq
as was Ken O'Keefe and his campaign for a human sheild...

so, you compare a kidnapping by fascist/marxist terrorists to the legitimate apprehension and detention of a probable terrorist. You really have no moral compass.

Fascist/Marxist?

Well which is it? Are they Fascist, or Marxist? Any other terms ending in "ist" you haven't the faintest clue about you'd like to hurl in there, while you're at it? Maybe they're Logical Postivist too. Or Trotskyist/Anarchist! Or Islamist/Buddhist!

Fucking hell, maybe they're Dentist/Pianist!

moral compass??!!

the marxist/fascist term is probably a blend of the various characterizaations of the "rebels" marxist in the press if they speak a line of populism and workers and indigenous with the requisite party line fouling it all to hell. fascists if they pretend to be the legitimate arm of the state protecting property and money and position.

The moral compas quip is cute still.

As if there were a question of choice between A.one who volunteers to play that game on either side and B. one who is abducted by either side.

but you would claim hes lost a compass? who needs a compas in this case. One blows in the face of decency, the other is about lousy timing and location.

But it does play into victimhood rather better than attending to a story where they are we.

the amazing part is tht some people are so taken by these eternal truths.
