Libya agrees to dismantle its weapons of mass destruction

speaker of the truth | 22.12.2003 11:29

Libyan leader Colonel Gaddaffi has agreed to dismantle all of Libyas chemical and biological weapons and nuclear programmes and all United Nations inpectors into the country. This amazing act of compliance by Gaddaffi proves the war with Iraq was right. Gaddaffi is not a good man but is wise enough to know that America and Britain mean business over WMD after their war with Iraq. He knows that non compliance could have meant Libya would be invaded too.

This also undermines the anti-war movement which claimed the war on Iraq would be failure. Far from being a failure though it has shown that rogue states cannot get away with producing and threatening the world with weapons of mass destruction or supportting international terrorism. Libya has also apoligised for the 1988 Lockerbie bombing and agreed to pay compensation to the victims families. It has also agreed to break off all links with terrorist groups and join Americas' war on terrorism. If Libya has now agreed to all this then maybe North Korea, Syria and Iran will follow. President Bush welcomed Libyas' offer by anouncing: "countries which join the war on terror and agree to destroy their weapons of mass destruction will find ready allies in the United States and Great Britain."
