Justice for Urslaan! Detained by US Military in Iraq for 7 weeks without charge

British student arrested and detained without charge for 7 weeks by the US Military in Iraq. Despite been under constant interrogation, he has had no access to legal support or his family. We appeal to the Foreign Office to bring him back to the UK immediately and if any charges are made, at least he will be given his full legal and human rights.

The media's speculation of possible involvement in 'terrorist activities' is absurd and incredibly irresponsible. He was spending the year studying in Egypt and ha decided to spend Ramadan travelling. Urslaan has been a keen traveller and it is most likely that he visited Iraq for its great cultural heritage and to see the situation first hand. We are extremely worried about the conditions he is being held in. He has still not been charged and it is common knowledge that people held in US custody are not always treated humanely, some have even died. I do not believe he will be treated fairly while he is being held in Iraq. We demand that Urslann is brought back to the UK immediately and if any charges are made, at least he will be given his full legal and human rights.
Please support the campaign for justice: by writing to your MP and asking for Urslann to be brought back to the UK or by more direct means. Do contact Kate for more info./suggestions...his family and friends are obviously devastated and need all the support we can get.
