The search for the true meaning of Christmas

Each year, I continue my tradition of writing critical commentaries targetting important religious celebrations, and so as to not break with established tradition, this year is no different...

'Caesar crucifies slaves, but God raises his victims from the dead.'

You know, it has often been said that when one strips ‘theology' of the doctrine of ‘saving sinners from hell' through ‘the atonement of the blood of the lamb' the gospel is drained of all meaning and rendered null and void. Actually, nothing could be further from the truth. Toss out theology and a symbol, the Christmas symbol, and the Easter symbol emerges full of political significance.

The following page examines the left wing 'welfare state' planted in the front yard of the Roman Empire by the Jesus Christ figure, compares it to the (recently declassified) story of Washington's involvement in the mass murder of one million leftists in Indonesia during 'the year of living dangerously' and then postulates that given how political murder occurs, this is the best explanation for the crucifixion. It also asks the important question, must people fed a god on dead animals and gets gods drunk on beer and wine? Strange as it might sound, if this practice is worthless then so is traditional Christian theology of 'salvation from hell' since it was based on the meat eating god of the Old Testament (a god which supposedly was 'the father of Jesus' and only stopped eating animals and drinking heavily after the crucifixion).

These questions and more are discussed on my page 'celebrating' the Christmas season (which to avoid spamming the system) is found here...
