A Paneuropean Artistic action day and an Intercultural Network

1) The European Assembly of Art and Cultural Struggle and Resistance that took place in Paris, La Villette, at the "Nef Nord", on November 15/2003, at 10.00 a.m. accepted the proposition of 1) Art Attack group and 2) Synaspismos Youth to organise and establish a pan-European day of art-action, using art as a mean in a process of decolonisation the mind of power-values and neoliberal formalistic functions. The date was set for the 6 of March 2004 and the proposed (pleriminary) action has to do with the use of sculptures in the main squares of European cities. The goal is to break the commonsensical of nationalistic and market values covering the sculptured figures with photographs of immigrants that died trying to invade fortress Europe and trafficking women (womwen in illegal prostitution). The question raised in the mind of the citizens is "Who and with what criteria desides whom and what is going to be a monument of human race and European history". For further info do contact:

2) As it was announced in the Other Balkans Seminar there is going to established an Inter-Balkan Network for intercultural education as a mean to promote an intercultural society and an inclusive and not exclusive education for an open society in the key yet disturbed area of Balkans and East Europe.
