This morning around 10 am the access to the Polimedia Lab has been denied. On demand of the owner of the building 10 policemen in riot gear showed up and asked the We Seize! media-activists to pick up their material and leave the building. Under the pretext of inappropriate safety measures the owner doesn’t agree that the space was rented to the Geneva03 collective.

The Polimedia Lab is set up to have 3 days of public workshops to share technical and theoretical skills on information and communication technology for independent media production.

At this moment Geneva03 collective is negotiating with the owner. More police vans are arriving and want to evict the place. At 14H the Geneva03 is holding an official press conference in front of the building and asks the civil society to be present to denounce the repression against tools for information sharing
