Sunday newspaper reveals Saddam has WMD and ordered them to be used

Journalist | 07.12.2003 13:54

A national Sunday newspaper has revealed that Saddam Hussein ordered his troops to use weapons of mass destruction at the start of the war on Iraq in March. The source comes from an Iraqi who suurendered during the war. He claims did have stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction before the war as well and ordered troops to use them. Senior generals though refused to obey orders to use such weapons.

Most of Iraqis generals were not prepared to fight for Saddam's regime and so ignored orders to use weapons of mass destruction preffering instead to surrender to allied troops. There are also reports that the Iraqi regime hid the weapons of mass destruction in Syria before the regime collapsed.

It's not quite as reported by our journalist above - but we wouldn't want accuracy getting in the way of spam on the newswire would we

And each time the iraqi army-leaders said that he thought other leaders had them. No-one had...
