Dear Radio Friend,
The latest Shortwave Report (December 5) is up at the website  http://www.outfarpress.com/outfarpress/shortwave.shtml in both broadcast quality (13.2MB) and quickdownload or streaming form (3.3MB) (28:49) It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
This program will be aired on Friday evening at 7pm on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via  http://www.kzyx.org
There are several other streams that work better-  http://www.freakradio.org Freak Radio Santa Cruz (96.3fm) now streams this program on Friday at 9:30am (PST)
Also check out LavaLamp Radio (Japan)-  http://www.radiolavalamp.org
streaming the SWR, check out the schedule.
And the Partytown streams are great and informative-  http://www.partytown.com/radio
This week's show features stories from Radio Netherlands, China Radio International, Spanish National Radio, and Radio Havana Cuba.
From Netherlands- During the 1994 genocide in Rawanda radio stations encouraged the murder of Tutsis- a tribunal has just sentenced several people for their role in the "hate media" campaign. The "Alternative Peace Plan" for the Middle East was publically launched in Geneva this week- while Israel’s Prime Minister Sharon is strongly opposed to this plan, US Sec of State Powell is interested in meeting with the proponents.
From China-India has made a deal with Russia for an aircraft carrier and fighter jets. Pakistan's President said that there is a huge difference in the number of Pakistani and Indian troops in Kashmir, and they are expected to be withdrawn soon. The Chinese government has released a White Paper on nuclear proliferation, saying it promotes a ban on future development and destruction of current stocks.
From Spain- N Ireland's former first Minister has called on Protestants to break the deadlock on the peace process. The Spanish Prime Minister appeared before Parliament on the day of mourning for the 7 Spanish Intelligence officers killed in Iraq over the weekend. Then press reviews on the Prime Ministers unpopular attitude about the war in Iraq, and the Alternative Peace Plan for the Middle East.
From Cuba- The building of a new Jewish settlement in East Jerusalem brought protests from both Israeli and Palestinian activists. The much publicized ambush attacks in Iraq over the weekend are described in very contradictory terms by local residents and police. And Donald Rumsfeld has won the coveted Foot-In-Mouth award presented in London this week.
All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt!
