POLITICAL ACTIVIST CRAIG ROSEBRAUGH RELEASES CONTROVERSIAL BOOK PROMOTING REVOLUTION AND POLITICAL VIOLENCE
PORTLAND, OR – “The Logic of Political Violence: Lessons in Reform and Revolution,” was released today by Arissa Media Group in Portland. This 288-page book, with a cover image of the burning twin towers, discusses why political violence is necessary in a successful revolutionary struggle. Rosebraugh’s profound and well-researched conclusions advocate the necessity of a political and social revolution in the United States, using any means necessary.
From the introduction.
“A political and social revolution is needed in the United States to destroy a system of governing that has proven itself unable to provide for the needs of its people. Furthermore, it is beyond necessary to rid the world of a political system that has demonstrated itself to be one of the greatest – if not the greatest – terrorist organizations in planetary history.”
A political activist since 1990 when he opposed the Gulf War, Rosebraugh is best known for his role as a spokesperson for the underground Earth Liberation Front (ELF). From 1997-2001, Rosebraugh received anonymous communiqués from the ELF, a militant environmental group that has caused over $100 million in damages to entities profiting off the destruction of the natural environment. In 2003 Rosebraugh co-formed Arissa, an effort to build a revolutionary movement in the United States of America.
Rosebraugh will be promoting his book in Portland, OR on Friday, December 12 at Laughing Horse Books (3652 S.E. Division Street) beginning at 7:00pm.
“The Logic of Political Violence: Lessons in Reform and Revolution” by Craig Rosebraugh is available for $17.95 (+$2.00 shipping) from Arissa Media Group, P.O. Box 6058, Portland, OR 97228.

playing into their hands

This book plays into the establishment's hands: they will portray it as proof that activists are actually just the same as terrorists and deserve the same measures. How long before mere possession of a copy gets you locked up, probably in Camp X-ray?
If this book reaches the mainstream consciousness (and it probably will, because the establishment will want it to), it will be thrown in our faces every time any avergage bod meets a known activist. How much effort are those of us opposed to violence against people going to have to waste refuting this book instead of getting on with useful stuff?
