Two peace protestors, Geoffrey Cornock & Kate Holcombe were found 'guilty' on Friday of damaging a gate at USAF Fairford in February even though the video evidence showed that there was no damage whatsoever.

Kate Holcombe, one of the defendents who was given a 2 year discharge said "There was a video shown of the protest in which it was blatantly obvious to all in court except the jury and the prosection that THERE WAS NO DAMAGE WHATSOEVER to the bottom of the gate. The video was watched over and over again by the court with all present searching for the damage that the guy from the base pretended had been done to the bottom of it. No damage was seen or found."

They were convicted on the word of a worker claiming he had seen a 'kink' in the bottom of the gate. A third defendant, Owen English, walked free on Thursday after the prosecution failed to produce sufficient evidence.
