the whole UK blueyonder broadband service for
web pages is down...

in the status report it states that they beleive that they
are not the only ISP affected...

 http://www.blueyonder.co.uk/blueyonder/status/tickets/5706908.html

"Please be advised we are currently investigating a national issue with our email and PWP platforms. All blueyonder customers will currently be experiencing problems accessing their email, webmail, the selfcare tools on the blueyonder website and their personal web page."

this has been like this for 9 or so hours

Yup

NTL was down last night too.

But, just for fun, I tried one web address

 http://www.gchq.gov.uk

and it was through in a flash.

Very interesting, I thought. Try it next time you find your internet connection slowing to a crawl-- I've somehow always found my connection to GCHQ to work marvellously!

BT Broadband too

BT Broadband was down too. It only seemed to affect none uk sites though. Could get through to most uk ones (could just have been getting through to the cache).

However, when i used a proxy ip address on the net, i go through to all sites i wanted.

I think it was something like the uk's main backbone DNS servers were down.

Seemed big.

U.S. Air Force Linked to Electronic Warfare Attack in Tennessee

26.11.2003 22:12

"HARTSVILLE, TENN - Newly released documentary and eyewitness evidence now links an apparent July 6, 2001 electronic warfare attack on a radio station and weekly newspaper in Hartsville, Tennessee to a nearby unacknowledged secret access project (USAP). This secret project, eyewitnesses say, includes the U.S. Air Force as paymaster, U.S. government aircraft as transportation and security craft; military troops in black uniforms; and black unmarked triangular aircraft. The project may also include a secret electronic warfare unit capable of disabling nearby media outlets with destructive electromagnetic energy. "
