Got to own up - we had great fun handing out the Deception Dollars. Not like handing out fliers - people queued up for them. We bought 8000 from the US and have handed out nearly all of them (about 500 left).

We first saw them at the Uranium Weapons Conference in Hamburg. A great Californian guy there gave us a small wad of them and we thought they would be perfect for the Bush visit.

The original idea was to hand them out to the police - after all, they are just mercenaries! But only one copper would take one from us. The media representatives present - the other mercenaries there - wouldn't take them either.

To buy from the US they cost about £25.00 per 1000. We sold 400 at cost (£5.00 per 200) but you can buy them from some other source in the UK who sells them at £5.00 per 100 - quite a mark up! War profiteering or what!

Apparently there have been 3,000,000 printed and there are 2,500,000 in circulation. There are six (to my knowledge) different issues some of which have graffiti variations.
