When George Bush met the Queen this week, he said: "I've been thinking of changing how the US is referred to by making it a kingdom." Can't, said the Queen. You're not a king. Well, said Bush, what about a principality? Can't, said the Queen. You're not a prince. An empire? No, definitely not. You're not an emperor. And before Bush could say another word, the Queen added, smoothly: "Stay as you are. I think you're doing quite nicely as a country."
