Bush,Rice or Powell in OXFORD???!!

Possibilty of BUSH, Rice or POWELL coming to the OXford UNION at 4pm tonight.
Also maybe recieving an honourary degree.


There have been serious rumours going around that someone important from the BUSH team -
i.e. Bush or more likely Condalesa Rice or Colin Powell -
is coming to Oxford today to visit the union and maybe get an Honourary degree!!!

These seem to be from pretty reliable sources!

The time suggested is 4 o'clock at the Oxford Union.

so we are suggesting meeting there at 3.50pm.

Bring Banners and people.

(if it is not happening then we can all go home - but it seems very foolish to miss this if it is happening)

If anyone has any better information please reply to this message.

Please come and make sure that Oxford University it not a haven for war-criminals

As of 17:00, there was no unusual police/security activity at either the Union
or the Sheldonian. It has been confirmed that Chris Patten is speaking at the
Union tonight, and it's possible this was the 'mystery guest'.

As far as we know nothing happened. There was a report of unusual numbers of police on the Banbury Road about noon though; probably unconnected.
