Kent says no to Bush.

6.30pm 19th November. Ashford, Kent.UK.

A small but enthusiastic group from Ashford peace group,East Kent Greens and supporters
from Folkestone etc gathered near Ashford Intl Rail station to demo against Bush
with several colourful banners (some made by 10 year olds!) and whistles.

We certainly made our presence felt and received far more support from returning
commuters and locals than pro Bushers.

Even here in darkest ruritanian Toryland, Bush is NOT welcome.

Peace,Solidarity and best wishes to all protesters demoing this week.

European Animal Welfare save Babies Seals from Russia to London

With my family and friends we were stolling down Whitehall when we came upon a nice surprise: there, right in front of Downing street, a man was standing with a lot of placards, dead baby seals and a tape of their screaming. He certainly did attract the attention of the public, let alone police officers!
We spoke to him, and my children learnt about all the massacres going on on the White sea where devious people club to death 9 days old baby seals for their furs only!
The demonstrator was from Kent, somewhere by Folkstone. If anybody had heard of him, please let us know, as it was so good to see such a demo in favor of seals pups.
