Anarchists clash with police at US embassy Thursday 20th of November

SWP front vanguard organisations are part of the problem not the solution | 18.11.2003 10:23

Riot squads fired tear gas to disperse anarchists who threw gasoline bombs and rocks at police guarding the U.S. Embassy in Grosvoner Square during a march on Thursday by thousands of demonstrators who broke away from the main demonstration to protest about George Bushs visit.

Tired of being led from A to B on pointless SWP front Stop The War Coalition marches a group of anarchists decided to take some real direct action for a change and with megaphones called for people to break away from the main march heading for Trafalgar Square and make for the American embassey. Some Stop The War coalition stewards who tried to snatch the megaphones from the anarchists got punched in the face. The anarchists then used their megaphones to shout anti-SWP slogans and called for more people to follow them to the Embassy.
