Warning to Bush

Ash | 10.11.2003 03:41 | Bush 2003 | Anti-militarism | London | World

Just a reminder of anti war demo... a demo with a difference!!! Please let as many people know as possible. Dates: Nov 19-21st. Place: Central London, UK.

Just a remender of the Anti-Bush Demonstrations...

Bush State Visit Demonstration

President Bush of America is to visit the United Kingdom of Great Britain between the 19th to 21st of November on his first ever State Visit.

It is also announced that there will be a Chris Eubank style demonstration on all of these 3 days. We ask people to drive around the centre of London and horn as loudly as they can from early morning till late evening. All cars should carry anti-war messages.

Chris Eubank, ex world middleweight boxing champion, drove around Parliament Square, up Parliament Street, into Whitehall, to Trafalgar Square and back down into Whitehall, Parliament Street and around Parliament Square.

Our demonstration will also take in Birdcage Walk, the front of Buckingham Palace (Queen Victoria Memorial), The Mall and Horseguards Road.

Please remember the police have no right to detain you. You will not be breaking any laws!!! The police tried to stop Eubank but unsuccessfully. Now it's our turn to let Bush know what we think of him.

It's also been suggested that a passenger hurl anti-war slogans at Bush & Co. using a megaphone.

It may even be a wise idea to continue until Blair resigns from his role as PM and brought to justice at the Hague in the War Crimes Tribunal.

Safe driving and successful demonstrating my friends!!

Are we encouraging oil consumption now?

10.11.2003 15:29

Strange that this is a call to drive around and demonstrate against Bush. Surely it doesn't take a great leap of thinking to connect the Bush administration, the Iraqi Occupation and the all powerful oil industry? Shouldn't we be leaving the cars behind and using our feet or bikes to demonstrate against this regime rather than supporting Esso, Shell, BP et al and polluting our city???

see you on critical mass

JC, if you haven't noticed already walking from a to b hasn't had any effect!! Also if you've not noticed, the police have already it made it clear that people (on foot) will not be allowed anywhere near Bush and Co.

Besides, it's only 3 days of protesting and we need to make a bigger statement as possible. The biggest and best way to make a statement is by a new and different type of protest. I've seen this article pop up before and someone always has to make some silly comment on why not to protest. Perhaps you're content with Bush and Blair remaining in power? They won't listen unless if it's mass embarrassment!! Block off all of Bush and Blair's routes. Oh and the Queen's too!! After all she is supporting all this. Perhaps Bush is here to suck Blair's and Charle's cocks too. He gives them pleasure whilst they give him support to kill millions and take oil so he gets cash. By the way, JC, do you drive a car? Do you use oil when cooking? Supporting these big companies is inevitable. The best way to get at them is by violent protest. War is the only language they understand.

Steven and everyone else that falls into the category of"War is the only language they understand",

It is amazing to me how narrow minded some people still can be. Would you not be better off using your time to be more productive with yourself, i.e get an education, so you can be in places that could actually make a diffence? Please know that you make yourself look really stupid, trying to act like fools. Remember, they are smarter than you. They are educated. Otherwise they wouldn't hold the office they do! I know it hurts, but it is the truth. For your own sake, get a life!
Sincerely,
Born German, yet a proud American!

Stef.

I agree with steven

Everyone is fed up with the SWTC anti-war movements. They have become wank walking, they have achieved NOTHING.
Lets bring london to a standstill, lets go and thrash Buckingham(lol, I know its not possible). But at least I have an imagination. Im sure that some of my hopes will become true. They run everything by business so Im gonna fuck the business, Im wanna thrash sll the petrol station (root of the Iraqi war), and capatilist shops.
I may be an individual but it's my hope and desire to express my anger at this fucking monKey face twat George Bush.

I am gonna be at victoria 3pm 19th november to actually do some direct action*

*Of course this is non** violent

This is for Alex,

Invest your energy into something more meaningful. You are fighting violence with violence. Now there is one that makes a whole lot of sense. I will pray for you and ask our savior Jesus Christ to take some of that anger out of your heart. What a shame for you to be so eaten up by all that hatred. I am truly sorry for you. Wishing you the very best,
JP

please respect others

11.11.2003 01:28

the victoria station 3pm meeting has been called by various grassroots non-hierarchical groups who are presenting an alternative to the swp stwc rally on thursday. these groups all work on the concensus agreement to use non-violent direct action as a protest, but the non-violence is an important and crucial part of their ethos.

as an anarchist i respect your rights to behave however you wish, and if you want to riot, then that's up to you, but unless you are an agent provocateur, i hope you can see that rioting at the same time and place as a whole load of people intend to meet in order to carry out their own form of protest is a bit authoritarian, a bit disrespectful, and ultimately weakens everyone's protest - the police will be busy trying to contain the victoria/buck palace tea party as it is, so you could take the opportunity to go and riot elswhere if you so wish, and everyone will be better off and bush will be worse off for it.

For Stef

11.11.2003 02:07

It's not what you know but who you know!!!

Stef, tell me why is it that George W. Bush was allowed to get to Havard with naff grades??

Tell me, if I had a degree, would I still say, "It's amazing I won. I was running against peace, prosperity, and incumbency".

Stef, do you know who said the above? Yessssssss, it's none other than your beloved President George W. Bush. And do you know when he said it? Surely an educated person like you would know? For those of us who aren't so intellectually gifted as you, I'll enlighten them. George W Bush made is above comment on June 14th 2001 speaking to the Swedish Prime Minister Goran Perrson, unaware that a live tv camera was still rolling".

Stef, tell me, what will Havard educated George W Bush do when the common, ignorant folk pull down their pants and moon at him? What will he do when people cause central London to come to a standstill and so he can't travel anywhere? Surely, someone as educated as you will be able to tell me? If I were George Bush, I wouldn't dare come to England. Why? Because, he's in for big trouble messing with us uneducated folk.

Stef, tell me, why would an educated person like George W Bush break WTO (for the ignorant amongst us: World Trade Organisation) laws? Surely you know he's broken the steal trading laws which has caused 2.24 billion euros worth of damage? The EU will now ask for that back in compensation. Stef, as an American, are you willing to put up with taxes to pay for this?

Stef, tell us, as an educated person, what have you done for the good of this world? How have you helped the poor? What have you done to make this world a fairer place? Justice for all no matter what religion, colour or nationality they may be. Stef, why did you assume that I didn't have an education and no degree? What evidence do you have? Perhaps, it's the same non-existent evidence that proved WMD (Weapons of Mass Destruction) exist?

Stef, are you familiar with Darwin's theory of the "fear factor"? Surely, an educated person like you would know. Hmmm... if you knew, then why would you say I'm uneducated??? For those of us who don't know this theory, it states that if you put the fear of God up one man's backside, then he won't do what he wanted to do. It apparently doesn't matter how the fear of God is initiated as long as it works that's the main thing. Sorry, I couldn't put the last couple of sentences in a more eloquent way. I'm apparently not as educated as you, but then again, you weren't familiar with Darwin's not so famous "fear factor" theory. Does this make you thicker than I? Probably. Stef, when your beloved President comes to the UK, we WILL give him a tough time. We will kick his backside and he will go back home crying to his moma and papa. He will want to attack us with his nukes and other chemical and biological weapons that he continues to make but does he dare attack an "ally" and a member of the "coalition of the willing"?

Stef, tell me, do educated folk like those at Oxford University kick Madam Ugly Bitch's backside when it came to her recent book signing?? Did you know she was kept trapped in a car park for over 3/4 of an hour? Oh yes, of course, these educated folk know about Darwin's theory. That must be it. Stef, let's face it, like Bush, you're afraid of what might become to him. I'm sorry your lover will have to go through such pain and embarrassment but c'est la vie. For the uneducated amongst us, "c'est la vie" means "such is life". Stef, let me tell you in Russian what I think of you and your statement, "PEKPYT Y HACPYUU". I'm sure the educated person that you are will know what that means.

I'm truly sorry that Bush only knows the language of war. He didn't give peace a chance, so I, along with millions of others will show him.

Steven

But wasn't it Jesus that went to the temple of the money lenders and turned up a table in anger ?

Steven,
Thank you for your reply. First off, I never said you were not educated. I said i.e. So don't assume things. Secondly, one does not need a thousand words to convince others that they are educated. The truth is there is no use in arguing with you. I simply stated my opinion.
I do wonder though, how you know what I'am and what I'am not familiar with. The bottom line is this: you are set in your ways and you do have the right to be so, yet I have the right to express myself. With that in mind have a wonderful day and may god bless you!

Stef

what a lovely day the 19th will be.

11.11.2003 05:41

My dear taxi driver friend,

Hi there!! I believe you're right about your last comment!!!

And for my dearest Stef,

You're obviously much smarter than I gave credit for. I apologise. I would like to say to your comment of "I'm set in my ways". I like to think of it as "I'm determined" and "I know what's right for me and best way for Justice".

As for the comment of "no point in arguing with you". You're right! Wow!! We actually agree on something there. Amazing!! My lovely taxi driver friend, what I actually mean is that, Stef wouldn't win the argument!!! ;)

And may God let you see the light and bless you too!

Steven

anti-war movement

11.11.2003 08:57

I wish, at the height of the anti-war movement (2million?) there'd been more focus on blockading and occupying military bases all over the country. These are the places that need tearing down.

Diverse protest not petrol guselling capitulation

11.11.2003 10:31

Well thanks for your replies, strange how I started a violence v non-violence debate by saying that I thought it a misguided idea to drive your cars around London next week. Actually if you read my comment properly you would see that I was not encouraging people to walk around the streets rather that I was suggesting that by spending the day consuming the oil companies products you will simply supporting that which we should be against.

I myself will by with the critical mass gang cycling round london, and if any of you have been on any recent demo you may have realised how effective this form of direct action is and it doesn't need any petrol. We are a mobile demo able to rapidly block anywhere we want and then move on when agreed - the demo at Ladbroke Grove Hotel for the Excel delegates showed how effective a dozen cyclists and skaters could be, completly jamming West London for a few hours.

So demonstrate how you wish, just think of the bigger picture or do you simply want to replace Bush with another oil thirsty president who will continue to plunder the world to fuel our oil obscession?
