Online listings of all anti-capitalist groups in Britain

enrager.net | 09.11.2003 23:47

We have online listings of lots of horizontally-organised anti-capitalist groups over Britain, so that people interested in radical ideas can find and hopefully get involved in organisations near them.

We have a large number of groups listed but keeping it comprehensive and up-to-date needs your help!

The listings are for all groups which meet the hallmarks of People's Global Action (listed below)

So check them out, and if your collective or one you know about is not listed, or if any of our listings are out-of-date please let us know here:
 http://www.enrager.net/web/newswire/modules.php?op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index&req=AddLink

Groups are categorised by geographical area: Scotland, Wales and in England South East, London, South West, Midlands, North East and North West, and workplace-based groups like McDonalds Workers Resistance are also listed. Social Centres, radical bookshops and alternative media are also included. National networks will be shown more clearly soon.

(NB we are very very sorry if this is a re-post, because we did submit it a few days ago but could not see it on the newswire or find it via a newswire search)

PGA Hallmarks www.agp.org
We believe in:
1. The rejection of capitalism, government, authority and any institution, company or group which promotes destructive globalisation and the destruction of the planet and environments we live in.
2. The rejection of all systems and forms of discrimination and domination, including but not limited to patriarchy, ageism, religious fundamentalism and racism.
3. A confrontational attitude, since we do not think that lobbying can have a major impact in such biased and undemocratic organisations, in which transnational capital is the only real policy-maker.
4. A call to direct action and civil disobedience, support for social movements' struggles, advocating forms of resistance which maximize respect for life and oppressed peoples' rights, as well as the construction of local alternatives to global capitalism.
5. An organisational philosophy based on decentralisation and autonomy.

sorry just looked through the hidden postings in case it was removed before and saw that it was hidden the first time it was posted.

Just saying we didn't mean to disagree with your editorial decision, we just thought maybe it didn't submit correctly.
Sorry again...
