Complete listings of Britain's anti-capitalist groups

enrager.net | 07.11.2003 11:49

We are compiling a comprehensive list by region of Britain's horizontally-organised anti-capitalist group. We have a lot listed already but we want you to submit your group or help us keep them updated!

This listings will cover all groups in Britain which meet the hallmarks of People's Global Action (listed below)

Listings are divided by region, covering Scotland, Wales and England - South East, London, South West, Midlands, North East and North West.
We also have listings for workplace-based groups and networks like McDonalds Workers Resistance.

We will also list all the national groups.

But there are too many groups coming in an out of existance for us to keep them up-to-date ourselves. We need you to submit your group to us, you can do that here:
 http://www.enrager.net/web/newswire/modules.php?op=modload&name=Web_Links&file=index&req=AddLink

And from that page we will slot it into the regional listings.

Also if you know of any groups or collectives we have missed, or if we have any of their details wrong (email addresses change, etc.) please let us know!

*PGA Hallmarks - www.agp.org

1. The rejection of capitalism, government, authority and any institution, company or group which promotes destructive globalisation and the destruction of the planet and environments we live in.
2. The rejection of all systems and forms of discrimination and domination, including but not limited to patriarchy, ageism, religious fundamentalism and racism.
3. A confrontational attitude, since we do not think that lobbying can have a major impact in such biased and undemocratic organisations, in which transnational capital is the only real policy-maker.
4. A call to direct action and civil disobedience, support for social movements' struggles, advocating forms of resistance which maximize respect for life and oppressed peoples' rights, as well as the construction of local alternatives to global capitalism.
5. An organisational philosophy based on decentralisation and autonomy.
