On the Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall
THIS WALL MUST FALL!
STOP THE DIVISION OF PALESTINE
The separation of farmers from the crops they need to live because the farmers are Palestinian
The destruction of homes because the families are Palestinian
The partition of land with the spoils going to the illegal settlers because the settlers are Israelis
THE CITY OF MANCHESTER (which calls itself the city of peace) SHOULD MAKE A PUBLIC STATEMENT AGAINST THE WALL IN PALESTINE AND AGAINST US FUNDING OF MILITARY ISRAEL

AT WHAT POINT DOES THE INEQUALITY OF DEATH BECOME ETHNIC CLEANSING? WHEN YOUR HOME IS BULLDOZED? WHEN YOU ARE SHOT TRYING TO GET TO SCHOOL OR HOSPITAL? WHEN YOUR CHILDREN DIE IN THE STREETS BECAUSE THEY ARE PALESTINIAN?
What is this, if it is not apartheid?
ON 9TH NOVEMBER 1 - 3PM
in Market St, Manchester City Centre 1-3 pm.
We will make high banners to be held with poles. The banners will be grey to represent the concrete wall in Palestine. (You are asked, as a group or individually, to bring photos of the wall, poems, songs, and anything to express your anger against this atrocity. All these items will be hung on the wall).
Communicate the injustice. Show your anger.
The wall will be set up along the middle of Market Street.
Each banner will be 4 metres long and in between the banners there will be checkpoints. At the checkpoints we are going to hold theatre actions with Palestinians detainees, soldiers asking people for their ID cards (If you want to participate in the actions, contact the address below). The aim is not to obstruct or stop anybody from passing by, but to make an
impact in order to attract people's attention, talk to them and give them leaflets with lots of information.
At each checkpoint there will be somebody with a loudhailer and an open mike.
Songs, poems, speeches, experiences of people who have been in Palestine will be very welcome.
At 3 pm the Wall will be pushed down and we will lie on it for some time. The message is " Our strength can make a difference" to stop it.
We could shout "It must fall! It must fall! We don't want the racist wall!"
