Help needed for Stop The Wall Day, November 9th

Oxford PSC | 06.11.2003 20:10 | Repression | Social Struggles | Oxford

November 9th is International "Stop The Wall" Day, with protests and actions to raise awareness of the apartheid "security" wall being built in the West Bank.
We need people to come to Bonn Square, 1-3pm, to form Oxford's own "Wall", by wearing large cardboard sections, linking arms to form an inpenetrable security shield!
It should be lively!

We also would welcome people to help hand out flyers to help raise awareness of the seriousness of the situation.
More info at:  http://www.stopthewall.org/

Thanks!

There's more!

There will also be an 8 metre section of fabric
representative of the 8 metre high wall, which
is decorated and has the beginnings of artwork
reminiscent of the Berlin Wall. Please come and
put your name, comments etc. in support of the
Palestinians.
There will be street theatre to show the now
enclosed village of Qalqila. There will be people
who have recently returned from Palestine who can
tell how things are right now. There will be stalls
and information and balloons!
